The Story & Challenge
These newlyweds wanted their first home to feel traditional, tailored, and deeply personal without feeling cramped or cluttered. The original kitchen lacked functional counter space and storage, leaving no dedicated room for their daily routines.

The Construction-Minded Solution
We tucked the refrigerator into the old pantry niche to open up new countertop prep space, then stole unused space from an adjacent room to build extra storage that takes full advantage of the high ceilings.

Striking dark soapstone countertops contrasted against dark appliances, custom pet feeding bowls built directly under the banquette seating area, a tailored fabric curtain over the doggy door, and soaring, full-height cabinetry.
