Prior to this kitchen remodel the space felt dark with black countertops and outdated design elements. The island was hunky and choppy with a multi-level design, which separated the young children from parents while they were in the kitchen. The main goal for the redesign was to lighten the space and make it more cheerful and functional for the busy family. We maintained the tall and classic room crown that connects the family room to the kitchen. This resulted in a dressier feel for the cabinets. The Sub-Zero Wolf appliances make for a happy chef mom, most especially the wine column in the bar which is used frequently for entertaining. She appreciates her integrated refrigeration and freezer columns. The Taj Mahal countertops are a showstopper, perfectly accented by the herringbone marble range backsplash decorative tile. Custom X mullion glass cabinets in the bar are a fan favorite, as well as the brushed nickel island pendants. Brushed nickel accents in the Top Knobs hardware and hammered bar sink provide traditional balance and warmth. A perfect ending result for a timeless kitchen that will always be loved by the homeowners and visitors.
