Slightly Modern Kitchen

Before it’s makeover, this kitchen was filled with slightly yellow tinted wood. From the ceiling to the floor, you were greeted with a single color. The green countertops attempted to break up this effect but was unsuccessful in its mission. Everything felt very dated. As you can see, things have changed for the better. Now, the kitchen is sleek, elegant, and polished. The white cabinetry contrasts perfectly against the dark wood floor. A blue island ties everything together while also presenting a calming feeling. Though the backsplash tiling sticks to the brighter color scheme, it also increases depth in the space. Also adding significantly to the kitchen is the perfectly paired range hood and chandelier. These two not only work perfectly with each other, but also tie in the contrasting elements of the room. Lastly, the once step-down closet transformed into a stunning mudroom. While it does enhance the aesthetics of the room, it also aids in storage and welcoming visitors back.
