This 1930 home was thoughtfully reimagined by doubling the size of its kitchen and transforming the former living area into an inviting breakfast nook. The design blends traditional architectural details with modern functionality, creating a warm, timeless space that feels like a natural extension of the original home.

Richly stained wood cabinetry, warm neutral finishes, unlacquered brass accents, and a plaster range hood bring character and depth, while a spacious island and thoughtfully integrated storage support everyday living. New arched openings improve the flow between the kitchen and adjoining spaces, and a custom banquette creates a cozy gathering spot beside an antique pantry door.

Throughout the kitchen, glass-front cabinetry and display shelving showcase the homeowners’ treasured antiques and collected pieces, adding personality and a sense of history to a beautifully updated space. The result is that this kitchen remodel and addition feel like they’ve been part of the home for years!
