Charm, that was the word our client used over and over.  She wanted a charming kitchen design that allowed her to cook and interact with friends and family.  This Jack Arnold designed home was oozing with interesting details in the exterior design, so it made it easy to follow through when designing the interior spaces.  There were several transitions to be thought through including, the rustic box beams and columns and how the cabinets and lights related to their spacing, also the ways the stairs wrap into the great room and interact with the floor.   We brought the lights from her previous home and hung them over the massive island.  The Sub Zero refrigerator and dishwasher is paneled and tucked away.  The Wolf cooking appliances are on full display red knobs and all!  The kitchen island cabinetry has a small crown detail at the top and simple X pattern on the ends and back adding to the charm and furniture feel.  The gray colored cabinets complement the floor and are warmed by the cream of the perimeter cabinets.  The dark black stone tops are softened by their matte finish.  The dark metal kitchen cabinet hardware is a perfect accent and sits on the cabinet like perfect jewelry.
