Builder Grade Turned Timeless Elegance

This bathroom remodel began with a client who knew exactly what she wanted: bold pattern, rich color, and a layered mix of textures. After seeing a previous Karr Bick bathroom project, she was inspired to move beyond builder-grade finishes and create a space with more personality and polish.

The original bathroom felt drab and dated, with a dark, enclosed shower and materials that didn’t reflect the character of the home. While the layout functioned well and required minimal changes, the finishes needed a full transformation.

To elevate the space, we introduced dramatic patterned wallpaper paired with deep green wall tile, bringing warmth, depth, and visual contrast. A tailored vanity design and warm brass plumbing fixtures add a refined, classic feel while balancing the bold materials throughout the room.

To achieve a high-end look while staying mindful of budget, we used marble-look porcelain tile and quartz surfaces. These selections provide the timeless elegance of natural stone with added durability and easier maintenance.

The result is a bathroom that feels custom, vibrant, and intentional: a perfect example of how thoughtful material selections can completely transform a space without requiring a major layout overhaul.
