Bar With Blue Cabinets

When you talk about Kitchen and Bath designers in St. Louis it seems like we should have a much longer job title.  We should be Kitchen, Bath, Bar, Mud Room, Pantry, Closet, Office, Butlers Pantry, Basement and Built In Cabinetry Designers!  Wow, that would be hard to put on a card, so we have condensed it to Kitchen, Bath and Wherever space designers here at Karr Bick.  This beautiful bar falls in the category of wherever.  We had a rather small space to work with, and the goal was to design a fun walk behind bar that could sit in the family room/kitchen space and not seem out of place.  The cabinet color is vintage gray/blue and different from the adjoining kitchen yet feels right at home as its next door neighbor.  The curved glass mullions are dressy enough to be the transition to the formal dining room.  The copper trough bar sink adds the right amount of conversation and fun.  To fit in the ice maker and wine refrigerator we utilized the wall across from the bar almost making the bar a place you pass through to get to the dinning room.  The long counter creates a place to gather or set up a buffet on depending on the entertaining you are doing.  The pendant lights are oversized and have a bronze chain that matches the faucet and hardware finishes. The open shelves that hold the collection of liquor bottles are what says “hey, we have fun here!”
