Your new space is your space. It should function and feel like no other. It needs to make you feel happy and meant to be. For a lot of people, this can mean that their space is a reflection of themselves. Adding in design details to make this possible is important. Each person has their own unique personality traits, so why shouldn’t each space? Our Personality of Your Space worksheet can help you create a clearer picture of the personality you want to portray. The exercise helps you consider what matters to you. It’s like a personal mission statement that will serve as a guide and a measure for your decision-making.

With a passion for the 1920s and art deco, the homeowners knew they wanted to see that within their bathroom remodel. After the remodel, it’s fair to say that they hit the nail on the head. Everything about this space speaks of the luxury the family wanted. The personality seen throughout the master bathroom perfectly reflects the homeowners. The details in this bathroom, such as the green wainscot paneling, the geometric tiled floor, and the marble slab shower, make the space feel straight out of Great Gatsby.

This laundry room makes doing laundry feel far from a chore. Tucked away in a corner of the house, this space makes a lovely first impression. The cabinets are a very light blue, which pairs perfectly with the delicate wallpaper. This space is preppy, sophisticated, and happy. It speaks for itself and shares the story that the family wanted.

Dark and dreamy are the first words that come to mind when you see this kitchen. The black cabinetry with brushed brass trims bring a sense of charm. The white wall tile and wood tones in the hardwood floor bring in fun textures. This kitchen feels like it would be found in a cottage from a fairy tale. It’s absolutely magical.

All of these spaces are very different and unique in their own way. While each space is stunning, they tell contrasting stories. One is straight out of the 1920s, one is like a breath of fresh air, and the other reminds you of Beauty and the Beast.

At the end of the day, you matter most. The wants and needs of you and your family are the biggest priority. Throughout your design journey, remember who you are and stick by that.
