What’s Your Superpower?
We have a confession to make. The new Wonder Woman movie is hitting theaters this week and, here at Karr Bick, we’re kind of geeking out. Our fearless leader, Jenny Rausch, has been a fan since she was 5 and got her first pair of Wonder Woman Underoos. So superpowers have become sort of a thing around our showroom. Collectively we use our powers to create “nothing ordinary” spaces. And have no fear, we’ve replaced our underoos with some super cool gear. Click here to visit our “nothing ordinary” shop.
At Karr Bick, we strive to continuously recognize the personal and professional “superpowers” within ourselves, our colleagues and our clients. We believe this is a key ingredient in our success in creating “nothing ordinary,” out of this world spaces.
Meet our cast of characters:
Jenny Rausch, designer, and owner:
“I like to think my superpower is recognizing other people’s strengths,” says Jenny. “In fact, even a weakness can be cultivated for good because our weakness can be the core of our strength.” “I tell my kids and my designers ‘use your powers for good.’”
Rebekah Murphy, designer:
“Self-reflection is my superpower,” says Rebekah. “I continually work on self-improvement, while remaining loyal to others. I genuinely care about the people around me and the world at large with an ability to listen, empathize and play fair. And I always support the underdog.”
When it comes to her design-powers, Rebekah says, “I love to dream and think about the beautiful big picture and all the little details that build the big idea. Going beyond the ordinary feeds my desire for beauty. I dream through books, mentors, writing, playing and traveling the world. All of these things reflect in the spaces I design.”
Wendy Kuhn, designer:
“My personal superpower is my ability to stay patient and calm in most situations,” says Wendy. “With 2 dogs, 2 boys, a husband and 2 careers, I am not easily rattled.”
“My design superpowers are being able to truly listen to clients and give them what they want,” continues Wendy. “I am super at ‘marriage counseling’ through the design process and helping clients through conflicting opinions. I am super at my knowledge of materials and keeping current on trends and incorporating them into designs.”
Maybe you already know your superpowers, or maybe we can help you find them. Together, let’s use our powers for good and create a space that’s nothing ordinary.
