Originally, this space was split into two. On one side, you’d find a mirrored wall coupled with a bathtub that jetted out into the open. The other side had dark vanities that faced each other. To take full advantage of all the space, the transformation called for a readjustment of the amenities. By rearranging the bathroom, every square inch was used to its fullest capacity. The beautiful blue and marble brings a sophisticated look. The tiled shower gives off a clean and crisp look with gold fixtures. This gold is carried throughout the space, which gives it an element of warmth. In the beginning, this wasn’t a bathroom that one would want to spend too long in. Now though, there is a separate vanity made especially for spending time there. The printed cushion seat, optimal natural light, and mirrors are perfect for getting ready for a night out. Brilliantly designed by Wendy.

While these space’s original form were functionally sound, the homeowners didn’t get that sense of true representation. After their transformation, it felt like the missing piece to the puzzle had finally been found. Now, these spaces are polished and sophisticated. In the kitchen, you’ll find semi-distressed gray cabinetry, which helps keep the space feeling fresh. Marble countertops and a tiled backsplash that wraps around half of the kitchen pull out the cooling hues found in the cabinets. In contrast to all of this, the island showcases dark wood. This addition aids in the moodiness of the space. Since there is a seamless flow between the kitchen and surrounding rooms, this space feels meant to be. This bathroom is the ultimate relaxation station. The tub, which could make anyone feel like royalty, sits just in front of the windows. The same color theme seen in the kitchen carries into the bathroom, which brings the same sophisticated feeling. The high ceiling allowed for a beautiful chandelier making the space feel even more luxurious. Last, but certainly […]

Read MoreWhat was originally a gloomy and outdated kitchen, soon became a bright and welcoming space. Dark cabinetry was cutting the space in half, which made the space feel like it was caving in on you. The challenge was to design a kitchen that stayed true to the family roots, while also creating a more open and warm environment. The long island allows for large gatherings and additional counter space when cooking with the kids. All the hardware aids into the crisp and simple feeling that the room delivers. One of the most show stopping parts of the room though is a custom backsplash. Not only does it portray a portrait of the family, but it also feeds into the personality of the space. Lastly, details such as the cottage sink, a window seat, and natural lighting really tie the room together. Read MoreHow do you properly describe a project that lived inside a craftsman’s head for the past 20 years? Now it lives outside for everyone to see. A bar designed and built by the dreamer. This is not your typical basement bar. It’s nestled into the front porch, stealing its long length from a little more than half of the old screened in area. There are original glass French doors that lead directly to the formal dining room. Light comes from all sides, yet the mood is dark. The beam ceiling was created from a dying white oak that stood in the front yard for 180 years, long before the historic home was built. Leaded glass gothic arches in the doors and backlit stained glass in the ceiling speak historically. Churches erected hundreds of years ago inspired the intricate details. The brass sconces are very old and the drop down TV is very new. The counter top, bent sheets of brass, crafted by the artist himself is continually polished to a bright shine. Even the bar stools took months to find and were then modified to perfectly fit the vision. The floor is marble, heated to stave off the cold from […]
