Here are some Karr Bick approved tips, tricks, and essentials to get your work space up and running. Organization is Key We all know the headache caused by a desk with piles of paperwork spread across it. As the saying goings, a clean desk makes for a clear mind. This isn’t possible without proper organization though! Utilize shelving, built-in storage, or add additional cabinets to the room. Make Every Square Inch Count Unless you have an extra room that you can dedicate as an office, a little more creativity will be required. Search all the nooks and crannies within your home to find the perfect place. This may […]

Read MoreThis year has been… a mess. We’ve all faced new challenges and have been forced to adapt to the ever changing state of the world. Through all of this, we’ve been trying to focus on what makes us happy, what we’re thankful for, and the positive outcomes. In honor of Thanksgiving, we’d like to share some of the things we’re grateful for. Owner Jenny “I think there has been a bright side to COVID. I wouldn’t have enrolled my kids in a private, which has turned out to be really healthy for them. People wouldn’t be home looking around and finding a million remodel projects. In June, we got to visit Yellowstone. Due to COVID, it was almost empty. It was the most wonderful family vacation we have ever had. We’ve also had some amazing family movie nights, because the world was closed. I am grateful for all the people I work with every day. They can find humor in anything, everyday life or a global pandemic. We raise each other up and keep each other going.” Designer Wendy “I was thankful to get to spend Spring working from home and watching my beautiful flower beds bloom. It was nice […]
Read MoreNow that Halloween has come and gone, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. With such a crazy year, there’s nothing more that we want to do then celebrate with our loved ones close by. However this holiday season looks for you, it’s important to remember what you’re thankful for, taking time to yourself, and enjoying good company, food, and drinks. To help you savor this year’s Thanksgiving, we’ve compiled some of our favorite tips and tricks. Decorating Tips Rustic Roots When you think of the Fall, you can’t help but think of pumpkins, golden leaves, and a hearty harvest. With such beautiful symbols of the season, it’s only natural to bring them into your decor. Throughout your home, find moments for these rustic details. Mix in mini white pumpkins on your table or mantle. Bundles of wheat are always fun to add as centerpieces or scattered on bookshelves. Warm Lighting and Fresh Greenery Adding hints of freshness and low lighting make any space feel intimate and cozy. One of our all time favorite things to add to a table is fresh greenery. Some of our top choices are Leyland Cedar, Italian Ruscus, and Eucalyptus. You can add these to floral […]
Read MoreAs you read in our last blog, we’ve had the honor to welcome designer Ashley Willman Obradovits to our team! Her story, which you can hear more about on our YouTube channel, is truly #NothingOrdinary. One of her proudest design moments was the completion of her daughter’s nursery. After moving into their Cape Cod style house, Ashley and her husband found out they were going to welcome their first child. The second floor had been an attic space, but after finding out she was expecting a girl, Ashley wanted nothing more than to start designing. “I couldn’t wait,” she said. When seeking for inspiration, Ashley had fallen in love with Michelle Morin’s watercolor. She knew she wanted it to be her starting place and her guide throughout the design process. “Not only was it perfect for the nursery, it was also the perfect thing for her to grow into.” Much like her mother, Sonja Willman, Ashley has a deep love for mixing the old with the new. Within this space, she knew she wanted to include precious family heirlooms that were dear to her heart. The nightstand came from the home she grew up in. There’s a bunny needlepoint piece, […]
